Although travel is still problematic, wine - the par excellence convivial product - goes beyond physical boundaries and, thanks to digital technology, welcomes unprecedented developments for tastings. The European Quality Wines: Taste the Difference project is delighted to invite professionals and wine lovers to attend a Digital masterclass focusing on Custoza DOC wines on 16 December at 18.00 (CET) - 12.00 p.m. EAST-NY Time.
Italian Wine Ambassador Henry Davar will guide us to better awareness of Custoza wines as an expression of the area located between the city of Verona and Garda lake, rich in history and tradition.
The Custoza DOC wine classification (Controlled Designation of Origin) was established in 1971 and takes its name from the historic village of Custoza, in northern Italy. Verona and Lake Garda are less than 10 miles away. The Custoza DOC production area combines natural beauty with history, culture and tradition. The area is characterised by a morainic amphitheatre. The soil includes rocky material, rich in minerals, carried down from the mountains through erosion by glaciers. The composition is predominantly chalky.
