Ian D’Agata is an internationally famous, multi-award winning author who is the President of the Ian D’Agata Wine Culture company based in Shanghai and its wine magazine, the TerroirSense Wine Review and wine school, the Ian D’Agata Wine Academy. Ian has been speaking and writing about wine for thirty years and his latest books (Native Wine Grapes of Italy, Italy’s Native Wine Grape Terroirs, Italy’s Grapes and Wines: The definitive Compendium Region by Region and the most recent, Barolo Terroir) are considered the bibles of Italian wine. He is also the co-author of the Italy section in Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Book of Wine, and the Editor of the Alsace, Malta and Asia sections.
Young sommelier on the rise, Andrea has been a sommelier at the two-Michelin-star Da Vittorio in Shanghai and Head Sommelier at the three-Michelin-star Core by Claire Smythe in London. He will return to work in Italy in 2026, involved in a new restaurant project that he is passionate about.

Ian D’Agata, together with Maddy Jimerson Master Sommelier and Wine Director of Casa Mia in Denver and Andrea Gualdoni, former sommelier at the three Michelin star Core by Claire Smythe in London, will showcase a set of Italian and international wines selected for their great sales potential and the ease with which they’ll find specific market niches. At the same time, wines that are characterized by their drinkability and their many possible food pairings.
