The world of wine gets going again in Verona - the Italian capital of the sector - with Vinitaly Special Edition scheduled 17-19 October.
It is the first international event attended in person for the world of wine. An innovative, invitation-only format will welcome buyers, distributors and international delegations from the main target countries for the wine sector, alongside meetings with Horeca professionals, large-scale retail distribution, wine stores and the trade press. Special areas for organic wines, mixology and master classes are flanked by the Vinitaly Buyers Club and Vinitaly Plus, an app for entering and navigating the show as well as a tool helping to keep professional operators in touch throughout the year.
In addition to Vinitaly b2b meetings with operators from the main outlet countries and large-scale retailers, the special edition also includes meetings organized in collaboration with Fipe Confcommercio and Vinarius, the association of Italian wine stores. New items include the Mixology demo and workshop area and the Vinitaly Buyers Club, with innovative services and discounts for members of the community. All the more, the event attended in person in total safety in the Verona Exhibition Centre is joined by Vinitaly Plus, the platform in 10 languages always on-line allowing consultation of fact files detailing wines, companies and events, as well as direct chat with producers. It is also possible to make appointments and take part in the Special Edition's on-line events and master classes. The digital tools provided by Vinitaly Plus include the related app essential for scanning entrance tickets but also useful for swapping information in contactless mode and via QR codes. Lastly, the geo-referential functions of the Vinitaly Plus app will help visitors find their way around the stands, as well as checking crowding levels in exhibition areas.
The Vinitaly Special Edition also hosts tastings, starting with Tasting Ex… Press conducted by the international trade press and an area dedicated to organic wines with a daily calendar of three tastings.
Vinitaly Special Edition will also be flanked by the Wine2Wine business forum (the only Italian business forum in the Wine Industry), Sol&Agrifood (the international exhibition of quality agro-foods), Enolitech (the international exhibition of production technologies for wine, beer and olive oil) and ArtVerona, the modern and contemporary art fair.
In line with the Government provisions, access to the exhibition centre during the trade fair requires possession of the green pass. The keyword in the exhibition centre and on stands is and will be safety, in full compliance with the provisions of the protocol defined by Aefi (Italian Association of Exhibition Centres and Trade Fairs) adopted by all exhibition centres even further integrated and upgraded.
