Vinitaly is proud to congratulate Marisol de la Fuente, awarded the prestigious IWSC Wine Communicator Trophy 2026, a distinction sponsored by Vinitaly and bestowed upon one of South America’s most authoritative and influential voices in wine communication.

An international sommelier, journalist and educator based in Argentina, Marisol de la Fuente – widely known as Solsommelier – stands out for her commitment to making the world of wine more inclusive, accessible and contemporary. Thanks to a solid background in communication and marketing and over 25 years of experience, she has successfully built a bridge between winemaking tradition and new generations through storytelling, education and digital innovation.

Her professional journey spans multiple platforms: she co-hosts the Vinimos podcast alongside La Nación journalist Ariel Torres and is a weekly TV commentator on Canal de la Ciudad, helping to bring wine culture to an ever-wider audience. Her debut book, Te cuento el vino (Penguin Random House, 2024), has quickly become a benchmark for Spanish-speaking wine enthusiasts, praised for its clear, direct and engaging style.

Through her educational project “El vino, sin vueltas” (Wine Without Complications), Marisol has guided thousands of students into the world of wine, while her presence on YouTube and social media – followed by hundreds of thousands of people – continues to inspire and engage new generations of wine lovers.

As the winner of the IWSC Wine Communicator Trophy 2026, Marisol de la Fuente will collaborate with IWSC and Vinitaly throughout the year, contributing to editorial content and educational initiatives. As part of her ambassadorial role, she will also lead an exclusive masterclass at Vinitaly 2026 in Verona, actively contributing to the international dialogue on wine culture.

Vinitaly once again extends its congratulations to Marisol de la Fuente for this significant achievement, celebrating excellence in communication and the ability to tell the story of wine with expertise, passion and a contemporary vision.
