Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW

Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW is a wine lecturer at WSET London and other wine schools around the world. She is currently Chair of the Study Programme for the Institute of Masters of Wine.

She works as a freelance journalist, with articles published in Decanter and various trade publications. A frequent wine judge, she serves as Regional Chair for Tuscany at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026.

Cherutti-Kowal is also an acclaimed presenter for numerous wine organisations and a trade show speaker. She consults for restaurants, wine companies, and wineries, drawing on her specialist expertise in Italy, France, and the New World. She became a Master of Wine in 2015.
