As part of Vinitaly, this comparative session explores two of Italy’s most prestigious DOCGs — Barolo and Barbaresco — through the lens of structure, denomination regulations and territorial identity.

Both produced from 100% Nebbiolo and grown in the Langhe hills of Piemonte, these appellations share a common grape but differ in aging requirements, commune structure and vineyard classification (MGA). The tasting will provide a framework to understand how geography, production rules and historical evolution contribute to stylistic distinction and market positioning.

Designed for professionals and enthusiasts seeking a structured comparison, this tasting offers an opportunity to examine Barolo and Barbaresco side by side within the context of Vinitaly — focusing on denomination, territory, and identity.
