OperaWine, Finest Italian Wines: Great Producers Selected by Wine Spectator, is the exclusive event organized by Veronafiere and Vinitaly, in collaboration with the American magazine Wine Spectator.

OperaWine offers international journalists and wine professionals a unique opportunity to taste and discover the finest Italian wines, presented by top Italian producers selected by Wine Spectator.

Wine Spectator is a globally recognized authority in the wine sector, reaching more than three million readers each year. Its expert tasting panel carefully evaluates the selected Italian wines through visual, aromatic, and palate analysis, assigning scores based on rigorous qualitative criteria. This process highlights the excellence of Italian winemaking: wineries from across the country that, despite differences in terroir, production style, and company size, are united by outstanding quality.

For OperaWine 2026, Wine Spectator has selected 150 Italian wineries, grouped into three categories that reflect the evolution and richness of Italian wine:

The 15th edition of OperaWine will take place on 11 April 2026 at the Gallerie Mercatali, officially preceding the inauguration of Vinitaly.
