The masterclass offers a fascinating journey into the discovery of one of the oldest and most authentic winemaking traditions in the Balkans. Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania, the experience guides participants through unique landscapes — from coastal plains to mountain valleys — that have shaped the identity of Albanian wine for centuries.
The tasting features four representative wineries — Arianiti, Çobo, Faba, and Fani — presenting a selection of labels that best express the country’s rich enological heritage. At the heart of the session are native grape varieties such as Shesh i Bardhë, Shesh i Zi, and Vlosh — still little known internationally, yet full of character, history, and a strong connection to their territory.
Through wines ranging from fresh and floral whites to structured and complex reds, the masterclass tells the story of the evolution of Albanian viticulture: a balance between tradition and innovation, between techniques passed down through generations and modern quality-driven approaches. Each glass thus becomes an authentic expression of terroir and local culture.
The tasting is led by high-level wine professionals, who guide participants through a sensory and cultural journey, offering insights into production techniques, grape characteristics, and the international potential of Albanian wine.
An unmissable event for enthusiasts, industry professionals, and curious explorers eager to discover an emerging wine identity, capable of surprising with its authenticity, elegance, and personality.
