Description
Facing the sea, in the most western part of Sicily, there is the largest lagoon of southern Italy. The Stagnone is an area characterised by distinctive white salt pyramids, fiery sunsets and iconic windmills in a natural reserve in the territory of Marsala.
“Salt West" is the manifesto signed by the three Italian Masters of Wine, Pietro Russo, Gabriele Gorelli, and Andrea Lonardi. It is a template to revitalize the Stagnone, a land with an ancient winemaking history and yet-to-be-explored wine potential, ready to be showcased globally thanks to a new generation of producers.
“Salt West" is a territorial project, rooted in the local community; a beacon for the production of distinctive and saline wines from an area that deserves to be an internationally recognized destination.
