The 35th Masi Seminar at Vinitaly is dedicated to Conti Bossi Fedrigotti’s Fojaneghe, the first example of a Bordeaux blend in Trentino, which has been emblematic of the perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation for over 60 years. This wine has gained its reputation thanks to the modified usage of Bordeaux grape varieties in mountainous climatic conditions, thereby developing a unique identity in the wine world.

Fojaneghe is a prime case of evolution involving a symbolic wine and its ability to inspire new interpretations in different territories: the same phenomenon that sees the great classics become models for wine development elsewhere. Examples include Bordeaux and Burgundy for red wines, Provence for rosés, Alsace for aromatic whites and Champagne for sparkling wines. These styles have created the success of specific vineyards, which have become international benchmarks, capable of adapting and renewing themselves in different climatic and territorial contexts.

During the seminar, experts and technicians will analyse Fojaneghe's development over time, focusing on how climate change and consumer preferences are redefining the perception of these internationally inspired wines. The aim is to understand how relevant these models still are and what their future is in an increasingly dynamic market.

The highlight will be a guided vertical tasting of the most important vintages of Fojaneghe over the last 30 years, a unique opportunity to assess the evolution of this “mountain Bordeaux” and understand the footprint left by its place of origin and vintage. An unmissable experience for enthusiasts and professionals in the sector.
