Wines without alcohol have become a trend theme. Pushed by a change in consumption, they seem to create a new market chance for the wine industry. What sounds like a recent development, actually has a long history. The de-alcoholzation of wine dates back to the early 20th century, but the quality of the products always was a big issue. Still it took a long time for de-alcoholized wines to catch attention. The first decade of the 21st century saw some brands appearing in the first markets. The development accelerated since then, de-alcoholized wines showed up on more markets and the quality improved gradually.
In the tasting, we will take a look at the quality of de-alcoholized wines produced with state-of-the-art technique and talk about the market chances for different product types.
