Maricetta was born in Palermo in 1959. In 1983/84, after completing classical studies, she worked as an illustrator for Papir, the Arci magazine of the Greens, and created ornithological illustrations for the Department of Agricultural Sciences. In the publishing field, she designed “European Cartography between the 16th and 18th Century” for the Superintendency of Library Assets.
From 1985 to 1998, she was the Art Director of Pubilla, an advertising and communication agency.
In 1999, she founded Alias, a studio specializing in packaging design, collaborating with various wineries in Italy and worldwide (Malta, the United States, Wine Pro Ltd Thailand) and winning several awards at the International Packaging Competition.
In 2015, she curated the exhibition “Sicily in Labels”, showcasing Sicilian wine culture through 100 packaging designs. Additionally, in collaboration with international artists, she has managed the image and communication strategies for cultural and museum institutions.
Passionate about art, astrology, nature, and travel, she is an amateur photographer and contributor to Getty Images, as well as the author of La forza che ci muove (Amazon).
