Vincenzo Donatiello is the Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier of the Three Michelin Piazza Duomo Restaurant in Alba, Italy. He was recently recognized as the Best Headwaiter by the Restaurant and Hotels Guide of the Touring Club.
From Basilicata, sommelier, 30 years old, he is raised in Apulia, where he attended the Catering Institute of Vieste, and in Romagna, where he had his first work experiences. He has been the pupil of great sommeliers, such as Gianfranco Bolognesi, the Best Sommelier of Italy in 1974, and Roberto Gardini, the Best Sommelier of Italy in 1993.
He is currently the Restaurant Manager and Chef Sommelier of the Three Michelin Starred Piazza Duomo Restaurant in Alba, Italy, that was the number 27 in “The World’s 50 Best Restaurant”. He has been the Best Junior Sommelier of Italy in 2004 and the Best Sommelier of Romagna in 2010, Person of the 2013 Year for the Italia a Tavola magazine, and recently recognized as the Best Headwaiter by the Touring Club Restaurants and Hotels Guide.
