INITIATIVES AT VINITALY 2008

Every day during Vinitaly, at lunch the “Ristorante d’Autore”, situated in the elegant Palaexpo, will host some of the leading figures in Italian cuisine. These chefs will demonstrate their talent by proposing their creations, served with some of Italy’s most outstanding wines, including TRENTODOC, which will be present on every table in the elegant customised bucket created by Trentino SpA.

Thursday, 3 April

• 3.30pm - SALA GOLF – PALAEXPO
  TRENTODOC MILLESIME AND RESERVE. THE REASONS FOR EXCELLENCE. TEN ‘CHAMPIONS’ IN TASTING
  Tasting tutored by the President of the Trentino section of A.I.S. with Mauro Lunelli – President of the Trento D.O.C. classic method Institute.
  Ten great TRENTODOC wines will be featured in a tasting. By discussing the wine, the speakers will explain why Trentino is Italy’s leading producer of classic-method sparkling wine.
  The reasons for its excellence go beyond the extraordinary sensory qualities of this wine and are rooted in numerous factors – related to both history and terroir – that will be illustrated during the tasting.
  The session will be held in Italian and simultaneous translation into English will also be offered.

Friday, 4 April

  TIZIANO MELLARINI, COUNCILLOR for AGRICULTURE, COMMERCE and TOURISM of the AUTONOMOUS PROVINCE OF TRENTO and ADRIANO DALPEZ, PRESIDENT of the TRENTO CHAMBER of COMMERCE, INDUSTRY, AGRICULTURE AND CRAFTS, will be on hand during the tasting of ten great TRENTODOC wines to offer visitors an informal greeting.
  The tasting will be tutored by Mariano Francesconi, President of the Trentino branch of the Italian Sommelier Association.
  The session will be a unique opportunity to discover the excellence of Trentino sparkling wine. Trentino’s winemaking authorities will also attend the tasting.

  “Cana of Galilee wine 2000 years later. Let’s help the Salesians in Bethlehem renovate the Cremisan winery and vineyards in Palestine”.
  The Council Office for International Solidarity of the Autonomous Province of Trento is one of the leading players in a project to renew and redevelop the vineyards and undertake the “integrated restructuring” of the Cremisan winery in Palestine, which produces “Cana of Galilee wine”.
