AN UNREPEATABLE EVENT
At the end of last century, a great vintage hit the international market: 1997. Italian producers were taken aback by such unexpected success and almost without realising it sold all their stocks, so much so that these bottles soon became rare and precious, and sold at auction for amazing prices.

Civiltà del Bere and Vinitaly have decided to present twelve of these truly great wines after a selection process organised in collaboration with professionals of proven experience. This selection, based on criteria of absolute transparency and objectiveness, emphasised wines of this vintage that received votes of excellence from a minimum of 3 of the 5 leading Guides published in Italy, at the same time as also assessing their international visibility and awards taken on an international scale.

Our sincerest thanks to the producers presenting their wines today for having supplied these rarities for the benefit of visitors to Vinitaly.
