Vinitaly at the Mediterranean Games
Vinitaly was the protagonist of Made in Italy in Pescara during the Mediterranean Games held 26 June - 5 July 2009. During this sporting event, Vinitaly set up a tasting area in the "Casa Italia" Business Lounge offering wine and sport enthusiasts the chance to learn more about the most prestigious labels in Italian wine production: a showcase for Made in Italy that successfully promoted the optimal quality of Italian wines.
The Vinitaly stand, in short, welcomed athletes, journalists, directors and selected visitors to taste red, white and rose wines thanks to a automatic dosing system. Happy Hour saw expert sommeliers guide tastings of sparkling wines offered by Trento DOC.
The labels presented by Vinitaly at the Mediterranean Games were selected from among the best national producers - including those who were the protagonists at the last Taste Italy, the tasting-event held every year during the International Wine Exhibition.
