India: January 2009 Vinitaly appointment in New Delhi postponed

In the wake of the dramatic events in Mumbai and alarm over possible terrorist attacks in New Delhi, the India stage of the Vinitaly World Tour scheduled 14-15 January next year has been postponed and will be rescheduled later in 2009.


Verona, 4 December 2008
- In response to the dramatic events in Mumbai last week, the threat of further terrorism in New Delhi and the consequent tension in the country and its inevitable repercussions on trade and social life in India in the immediate future, VeronaFiere has decided to postpone the Vinitaly World Tour stage dedicated to India initially scheduled in New Delhi 14-15 January 2009.

The appointment with the Indian market has therefore been postponed. A new date will nevertheless be defined as soon as possible in 2009.

The Vinitaly World Tour 2009 inasmuch will resume 29-30 January in Miami and Palm Beach, followed by the traditional stages of the tour - Russia in May, the USA in October with the second part of the U.S. Tour, followed by Japan and China.
