22nd International Wine Competition in Verona reaches its conclusion. Only 75 medals awarded out of more than 2,600 wines taking part from 32 different countries - "Grand Vinitaly 2015" Award made to Az. Agr. G. Milazzo - Terre della Baronia - Campobello di Licata (AG - Italia)
Verona was home 12-16 April 2015 to the 22nd International Wine Competition. The event was organised by VeronaFiere with the aim of highlighting the best wine production, promoting such wines among consumers and trade operators, presenting the most characteristic wines from various countries to a broader audience, as well as rewarding and stimulating the effort of wine-makers towards continuous improvement of product quality.
The 2015 International Wine Competition once again confirmed its status as the most selective in the world in awarded only 75 medals out of 2,585 entries.
The event took place with the patronage of the Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Parliament, the Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin (O:I:V), the Union Internationale des Oenologues (U.I.Oe.) and the Italian Ministries for Agricultural and Forestry Policy and Economic Development.
The winners of Grand Gold Medals and Gold Medals will be presented in the course of special tastings organised within the scope of Expo 015.
Wines winning Grand Gold Medals, Gold Medals, Silver Medals and Bronze Medals will be entitled to affix this prestigious label on bottles of the wines in question.
